Property Description
La Maison du Gardien is a comfortable fully equipped two bedroom self-catering holiday home sleeping 4+. The house is situated within the boundaries of our walled property but is totally independant and has direct access to the 10m x 5m salt water pool and terrace from its own fenced rear garden. At the front is a gated drive and to the side is our orchard - where you are welcome to help yourself to apples, pears, apricots, peaches and raspberries when in season.
The living room is well furnished with a sofa, easy chairs, a TV/DVD player (UK TV), hi-fi, broadband access and a selection of books and DVD's. Double doors open on to the sun trap patio which in turn leads to the garden and pool. A BBQ, table, chairs and sun loungers are provided.
The kitchen is very well equipped and designed for easy use. It has a gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and a comprehensive range of utensils. We provide a welcome pack which includes tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter, cheese eggs and milk.
The dining room adjoins the kitchen and has a pine dresser, table and chairs. Stairs lead up to the double bedroom and there are three steps down to the living room.
The main bedroom is upstairs with a comfortable double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. An additional single bed is available if required. Bed linen is of course provided and beds are made up ready for your arrival. For 2 week stays a change of linen is provided.
The second bedroom is downstairs leading from the hall and has twin beds, a central bedside table with lamp and a large wardrobe/storage unit.
The shower room is downstairs and has a walk in shower with a thermostatic shower spray, a marble topped vanity unit and an automatic washing machine. There is a separate WC.
La Maison du Gardien is ideally situated for a relaxing holiday, in the centre of the village with all its amenities and yet with its own private south facing enclosed garden and separate pool. Hot croissants are only a two minute stroll away and a supermarket, doctor, pharmacy and newsagent are all within a few minutes.
With its thick walls, traditional French construction and shutters the house is cool in summer and cosy in winter. Electric heating in the bedrooms, shower room and dining room and a woodburning stove in the living room combine to make it comfortable for a winter break. A cot, highchair etc are available if required.
